Effective Leadership through
First 90 Days
The Southeast District provides
resources, workshops and supervision to help lay and
clergy become effective leaders of the churches.
First 90 Days – Pastors and
churches in transition due to change in appointment
participate in a First 90 Days program to help the
church and pastor develop a transition acceleration plan
that is tailored to their situation.
Pastors (those who will be accepting a
new appointment) are required to participate in a
full-day course based on the book
The First 90 Days:
Critical Success Strategies for New Leaders At All
Levels by Michael Watkins and local church leaders
participate in a part they training in order to work
effectively on the transition.
